841C transceiver/receiver
No information could be found for this radio. From the exterior, it could be said that it is the work of 80’s; similar to that of 861 radios. However, it is impossible to test since the battery it uses is a special type. Because the battery is long dead, we do not even know the positive/negative of the battery.
Another issue with the radio is that we could not figure out how it should be operated. The headset is very similar to that of 861, but it does not have a PTT. The headset connector is a five-pin connector and that of 861/862/823 is a 7-pin connector, so they are different types.
The body of the radio is very simple. It has one channel switch and one on/off switch with volume control. No PTT on the body either.
Could it be a receiver only? If it is, however, the headset has a microphone built in. Then, our final question is: could it be a voice active?
